| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Olivia Uribe has been named the 2020-2021 Teacher of |

| 7 | 8 | | WHEREAS, A solid education is vital for young people to |

| 8 | 9 | | become successful and productive adults, and those men and women |
|---|
| 9 | 10 | | who dedicate their careers to teaching make a positive difference |

| 10 | 11 | | in the lives of their students and in the greater community; and |
|---|
| 11 | 12 | | WHEREAS, Ms. Uribe currently teaches third grade at Tornillo |

| 12 | 13 | | Intermediate School; a team lead and mentor, she has helped new |

| 13 | 14 | | faculty better understand state standards, and she has guided other |

| 14 | 15 | | teachers in her grade level through discussions about content and |

| 15 | 16 | | assessments as well as in the use of various digital platforms and |
|---|
| 16 | 17 | | resources during the pandemic; moreover, she cares deeply about her |

| 17 | 18 | | students and maintains a nurturing yet challenging classroom |

| 19 | 20 | | WHEREAS, Olivia Uribe exemplifies the passion, |

| 20 | 21 | | determination, and innovative spirit that are the hallmarks of our |

| 21 | 22 | | best educators, and she has set a standard of excellence to which |

| 22 | 23 | | all in her profession may aspire; now, therefore, be it |
