79 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
810 SECTION 1. Subchapter A, Chapter 65, Election Code, is
911 amended by adding Section 65.016 to read as follows:
1012 Sec. 65.016. INTERNET POSTING OF ELECTION RESULTS. (a) A
1113 county that holds or provides election services for an election and
1214 maintains an Internet website shall post on its public Internet
13- website for an election of public officials or of a governmental
14- entity authorized by law to impose a tax administered by the county:
15+ website for an election administered by the county:
1516 (1) the results of each election;
16- (2) the total number of votes cast;
17+ (2) the total number of votes cast; and
1718 (3) the total number of votes cast for each candidate
18- or for or against each measure;
19- (4) the total number of votes cast by personal
20- appearance on election day;
21- (5) the total number of votes cast by personal
22- appearance or mail during the early voting period; and
23- (6) the total number of counted and uncounted
24- provisional ballots cast.

2520 (b) A city or independent school district that holds an
2621 election and maintains an Internet website shall post on its public
2722 Internet website for the city or independent school district, as

2924 (1) the results of each election;

3928 (c) The information described by Subsections (a) and (b)
4029 must be:
4130 (1) posted as soon as practicable after the election;

4332 (2) accessible without having to make more than two
4433 selections or view more than two network locations after accessing
4534 the Internet website home page of the county, city, or district, as
4635 applicable.
47- SECTION 2. Chapter 4, Election Code, is amended by adding
48- Section 4.009 to read as follows:
49- Sec. 4.009. INTERNET POSTING. (a) Not later than the 21st
50- day before election day, a county that holds or provides election
51- services for an election and maintains an Internet website shall
52- post on its public Internet website for an election of public
53- officials or of a governmental entity authorized by law to impose a
54- tax administered by the county:
55- (1) the date of the election;
56- (2) the location of each polling place;
57- (3) each candidate for an elected office on the
58- ballot; and
59- (4) each measure on the ballot.
60- (b) Not later than the 21st day before election day, a city
61- or independent school district that holds an election and maintains
62- an Internet website shall post on the public Internet website for
63- the city or independent school district, as applicable:
64- (1) the date of the next election;
65- (2) the location of each polling place;
66- (3) each candidate for an elected office on the
67- ballot; and
68- (4) each measure on the ballot.
69- SECTION 3. This Act takes effect September 1, 2021.
