A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT
relating to the municipal determination of exceptions to plat
requirements for certain property developments.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
SECTION 1. Subchapter B, Chapter 212, Local Government
Code, is amended by adding Section 212.0455 to read as follows:
Sec. 212.0455. EXCEPTION TO PLAT REQUIREMENT: MUNICIPAL
DETERMINATION. To determine whether specific developments of
tracts of land are required to be platted under this subchapter, a
municipality may define and classify the developments. A
municipality need not require platting for every development of a
tract of land otherwise within the scope of this subchapter.
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2021.
