| 7 | 9 | SECTION 1. Subchapter E, Chapter 31, Election Code, is | |
| 8 | 10 | amended by adding Section 31.126 to read as follows: | |
| 9 | 11 | Sec. 31.126. TRAINING. (a) In this section, "county | |
| 10 | 12 | election officer" has the meaning assigned by Section 31.091(1). | |
| 11 | 13 | (b) The secretary of state shall provide a standardized | |
| 12 | 14 | training program and materials for county election officers in the | |
| 13 | 15 | same manner it provides such a program to election judges and clerks | |
| 14 | 16 | under Subchapter F, Chapter 32. | |
| 15 | 17 | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2021. | |
