46 AN ACT
57 relating to the criminal history record information requirement for
68 applicants for renewal of a license issued by the Texas State Board
79 of Public Accountancy.
810 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
911 SECTION 1. The Texas State Board of Public Accountancy
1012 shall require each applicant for renewal of a license under
1113 Subchapter I, Chapter 901, Occupations Code, to first comply with
1214 the requirement of Section 901.169(a), Occupations Code, not later
1315 than September 1, 2022. Notwithstanding Sections 901.169(a)(2)(E)
1416 and 901.403(c), Occupations Code, an applicant for renewal of a
1517 license is not required to comply with Section 901.169(a),
1618 Occupations Code, until first required to by the board as provided
1719 by this Act.
1820 SECTION 2. Section 22(d), Chapter 181 (H.B. 1520), Acts of
1921 the 86th Legislature, Regular Session, 2019, is repealed.
2022 SECTION 3. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives
2123 a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as
2224 provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this
2325 Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this
2426 Act takes effect September 1, 2021.
