| 7 | 9 | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | |
| 8 | 10 | SECTION 1. Subchapter D, Chapter 504, Transportation Code, | |
| 9 | 11 | is amended by adding Section 504.327 to read as follows: | |
| 10 | 12 | Sec. 504.327. UNITED STATES NAVY SUBMARINE SERVICE. The | |
| 11 | 13 | department shall issue specialty license plates for persons who | |
| 12 | 14 | served on a submarine while in the United States Navy. The license | |
| 13 | 15 | plates must include: | |
| 14 | 16 | (1) the words "U.S. Navy Submarine Service" in red | |
| 15 | 17 | letters at the bottom of each plate; and | |
| 16 | 18 | (2) a depiction of the Submarine Warfare insignia on | |
| 17 | 19 | the left side of the plate. | |
| 18 | 20 | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2021. | |
