| 11 | 11 | SECTION 1. Subchapter D, Chapter 508, Government Code, is | |
| 12 | 12 | amended by adding Section 508.1145 to read as follows: | |
| 13 | 13 | Sec. 508.1145. PROCESSING OF REQUEST RELATING TO RELEASEE | |
| 14 | 14 | EMPLOYMENT. To the extent practicable, a parole officer shall | |
| 15 | 15 | complete the processing of a request relating to a releasee's | |
| 16 | 16 | employment, including all necessary paperwork, not later than the | |
| 17 | 17 | third business day after the date the officer receives the request. | |
| 18 | 18 | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2021. |
