46 AN ACT
57 relating to the composition of the cybersecurity council.
68 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
79 SECTION 1. Section 2054.512(b), Government Code, is amended
810 to read as follows:
911 (b) The cybersecurity council must include:
1012 (1) one member who is an employee of the office of the
1113 governor;
1214 (2) one member of the senate appointed by the
1315 lieutenant governor;
1416 (3) one member of the house of representatives
1517 appointed by the speaker of the house of representatives; [and]
1618 (4) one member who is an employee of the Elections
1719 Division of the Office of the Secretary of State; and
1820 (5) additional members appointed by the state
1921 cybersecurity coordinator, including representatives of
2022 institutions of higher education and private sector leaders.
2123 SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2021.
