46 AN ACT
57 relating to the reporting and expiration dates of a temporary
68 health insurance risk pool administered by the commissioner of
79 insurance.
810 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
911 SECTION 1. Section 1510.012(a), Insurance Code, is amended
1012 to read as follows:
1113 (a) Beginning June 1, 2022 [2020], not later than June 1 of
1214 each year, the department shall submit a report to the governor, the
1315 lieutenant governor, and the speaker of the house of
1416 representatives.
1517 SECTION 2. Section 1510.013, Insurance Code, is amended to
1618 read as follows:
1719 Sec. 1510.013. EXPIRATION OF CHAPTER. This chapter expires
1820 August 31, 2023 [2021].
1921 SECTION 3. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives
2022 a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as
2123 provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this
2224 Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this
2325 Act takes effect September 1, 2021.
