106 proposing a constitutional amendment prohibiting the unsolicited
117 distribution of an application form for an absentee ballot.
128 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
139 SECTION 1. Section 2, Article VI, Texas Constitution, is
1410 amended by adding Subsection (d) to read as follows:
1511 (d) An officer or employee of this state or of a political
1612 subdivision of this state may not distribute an official
1713 application form for an absentee ballot to a person unless the
1814 person has requested the distribution.
1915 SECTION 2. This proposed constitutional amendment shall be
2016 submitted to the voters at an election to be held November 2, 2021.
2117 The ballot shall be printed to permit voting for or against the
2218 proposition: "The constitutional amendment prohibiting the
2319 unsolicited distribution of an application form for an absentee
2420 ballot."
