| 2 | 2 | | WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to |

| 3 | 3 | | recognize Jessica Rumbaugh of El Campo, who earned a Top-10 honor |

| 4 | 4 | | in the American Farm Bureau Federation's annual Excellence in |

| 5 | 5 | | Agriculture competition; and |
|---|
| 6 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Each year, the American Farm Bureau Federation |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | recognizes young farmers and ranchers for their demonstrated |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | knowledge of agriculture and achievements in the field; the |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | Excellence in Agriculture Award is bestowed upon those who do |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | not earn their primary income through farming and ranching yet |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | have nonetheless demonstrated a high level of skill in the |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | industry; and |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | WHEREAS, Jessica Rumbaugh is an esteemed member of the El |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | Campo community and the owner and operator of Texas Land and Home |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | Real Estate; she and her husband operate a grass-fed beef |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | business, 410 Farms, and they serve as representatives for the |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | Texas Farm Bureau's District 11 Young Farmer and Rancher Advisory |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | Committee; and |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | WHEREAS, Mrs. Rumbaugh's passion for agriculture led her |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | to create a website that offers agriculture lessons as a resource |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | for teachers and parents; she also hosts a podcast as a forum to |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | discuss rural properties, and she travels the country as a |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | trusted voice for the agricultural community; and |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | WHEREAS, Jessica won the state-level Excellence in |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | Agriculture competition in November of 2020, and she was the only |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | representative from Texas to achieve a Top-10 ranking at the |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | national competition that was held virtually in January of 2021; |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | she can reflect with pride on her numerous achievements and her |
|---|
| 29 | 29 | | many contributions to the farming and ranching industry; now, |
|---|
| 30 | 30 | | therefore, be it |
|---|
| 31 | 31 | | RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 87th |
|---|
| 32 | 32 | | Legislature, hereby recognize Jessica Rumbaugh as a treasured |
|---|
| 33 | 33 | | citizen of the Lone Star State and extend to her congratulations |
|---|
| 34 | 34 | | on receiving national honors in the American Farm Bureau |
|---|
| 35 | 35 | | Federation's annual Excellence in Agriculture competition; and, |
