5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas honors and |
---|
6 | 6 | | commemorates the life of Robert Lynn Foshee Sr., who died |
---|
7 | 7 | | February 4, 2021, at the age of 79; and |
---|
8 | 8 | | WHEREAS, Robert Foshee was born on October 5, 1941, in |
---|
9 | 9 | | Provencal, Louisiana; he grew up in Winnfield, Louisiana, and he |
---|
10 | 10 | | served with distinction in the United States Air Force after his |
---|
11 | 11 | | high school graduation; and |
---|
12 | 12 | | WHEREAS, He began his professional career with Shell Oil |
---|
13 | 13 | | and later worked in the finance industry before earning an |
---|
14 | 14 | | accounting degree from Northeast Louisiana University; he moved |
---|
15 | 15 | | with his family to Conroe, Texas, and he worked for Louisiana |
---|
16 | 16 | | Pacific for more than 20 years; he established the accounting |
---|
17 | 17 | | firm of Foshee and Associates, and he also served the state on the |
---|
18 | 18 | | staffs of the Texas Department of Corrections and the Texas |
---|
19 | 19 | | Workforce Commission; and |
---|
20 | 20 | | WHEREAS, He and his beloved wife of 55 years, Billie Ann |
---|
21 | 21 | | Knight Foshee, were blessed with a son, Robert Foshee Jr., who |
---|
22 | 22 | | was a source of much pride and joy for him; and |
---|
23 | 23 | | WHEREAS, Robert Foshee loved people and was always willing |
---|
24 | 24 | | to help others; he was known for his loyalty, his calm demeanor, |
---|
25 | 25 | | and his generous spirit, and he was a source of strength to all |
---|
26 | 26 | | who were privileged to share in his life; and |
---|
27 | 27 | | WHEREAS, He was a devoted husband and father, and he leaves |
---|
28 | 28 | | behind memories that will be treasured forever by his family and |
---|
29 | 29 | | countless friends; now, therefore, be it |
---|
30 | 30 | | RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 87th |
---|
31 | 31 | | Legislature, hereby extend sincere condolences to the bereaved |
---|
32 | 32 | | family of Robert Lynn Foshee Sr.; and, be it further |
---|
33 | 33 | | RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for |
---|
34 | 34 | | his family as an expression of deepest sympathy from the Texas |
---|
35 | 35 | | Senate and that when the Senate adjourns this day, it do so in |
