SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 322 In Memory of Robert Lynn Foshee Sr. WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas honors and commemorates the life of Robert Lynn Foshee Sr., who died February 4, 2021, at the age of 79; and WHEREAS, Robert Foshee was born on October 5, 1941, in Provencal, Louisiana; he grew up in Winnfield, Louisiana, and he served with distinction in the United States Air Force after his high school graduation; and WHEREAS, He began his professional career with Shell Oil and later worked in the finance industry before earning an accounting degree from Northeast Louisiana University; he moved with his family to Conroe, Texas, and he worked for Louisiana Pacific for more than 20 years; he established the accounting firm of Foshee and Associates, and he also served the state on the staffs of the Texas Department of Corrections and the Texas Workforce Commission; and WHEREAS, He and his beloved wife of 55 years, Billie Ann Knight Foshee, were blessed with a son, Robert Foshee Jr., who was a source of much pride and joy for him; and WHEREAS, Robert Foshee loved people and was always willing to help others; he was known for his loyalty, his calm demeanor, and his generous spirit, and he was a source of strength to all who were privileged to share in his life; and WHEREAS, He was a devoted husband and father, and he leaves behind memories that will be treasured forever by his family and countless friends; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 87th Legislature, hereby extend sincere condolences to the bereaved family of Robert Lynn Foshee Sr.; and, be it further RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for his family as an expression of deepest sympathy from the Texas Senate and that when the Senate adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Robert Lynn Foshee Sr. Creighton ________________________________ President of the Senate I hereby certify that the above Resolution was adopted by the Senate on April 27, 2021, by a rising vote. ________________________________ Secretary of the Senate ________________________________ Member, Texas Senate
