| 6 | 6 | | by the family and friends of Navaha Faith Resendiz of Nocona, a |

| 7 | 7 | | remarkable young woman whose life was cut tragically short on |

| 8 | 8 | | March 27, 2021, at the age of 14; and |

| 9 | 9 | | WHEREAS, The daughter of Wesley Resendiz and Leah Hill, |

| 10 | 10 | | Navaha Resendiz was born on April 5, 2006, in Nocona; she grew up |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | with the companionship of 10 siblings, Charidy, Serenity, |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | Cadance, Kenzlee, Wesley, Brayson, Kruze, Presley, Justus, and |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | River, as well as three stepsisters, Jasmine, Aliyah, and Jada; |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | and |

| 15 | 15 | | WHEREAS, Ms. Resendiz attended Nocona High School, where |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | she sang in the choir and served as the clarinet section leader in |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | the marching and concert bands; strong in her faith, she was a |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | valued congregant of Nocona Hills Community Church; and |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | WHEREAS, Blessed with a radiant smile and a kind heart, |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | Navaha Resendiz set an inspiring example through the joyful |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | spirit that she brought to her every endeavor, and although she |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | is deeply missed, she will forever remain a vibrant presence for |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | those she leaves behind; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 87th |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | Legislature, hereby pay tribute to the life of Navaha Faith |

| 26 | 26 | | Resendiz and extend sincere condolences to the members of her |
