SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 366 In Memory of Navaha Resendiz WHEREAS, Words cannot adequately express the sorrow felt by the family and friends of Navaha Faith Resendiz of Nocona, a remarkable young woman whose life was cut tragically short on March 27, 2021, at the age of 14; and WHEREAS, The daughter of Wesley Resendiz and Leah Hill, Navaha Resendiz was born on April 5, 2006, in Nocona; she grew up with the companionship of 10 siblings, Charidy, Serenity, Cadance, Kenzlee, Wesley, Brayson, Kruze, Presley, Justus, and River, as well as three stepsisters, Jasmine, Aliyah, and Jada; and WHEREAS, Ms. Resendiz attended Nocona High School, where she sang in the choir and served as the clarinet section leader in the marching and concert bands; strong in her faith, she was a valued congregant of Nocona Hills Community Church; and WHEREAS, Blessed with a radiant smile and a kind heart, Navaha Resendiz set an inspiring example through the joyful spirit that she brought to her every endeavor, and although she is deeply missed, she will forever remain a vibrant presence for those she leaves behind; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 87th Legislature, hereby pay tribute to the life of Navaha Faith Resendiz and extend sincere condolences to the members of her family: to her parents, Wesley Resendiz and Janie Jones and Leah Hill; to her grandparents, Sheila Molsbee and John Hill; to her siblings, Charidy Resendiz, Serenity Resendiz, Cadance Bell-Johnson, Kenzlee Bell-Johnson, Wesley Resendiz Jr., Brayson Resendiz, Kruze Resendiz, Presley Resendiz, Justus Resendiz, and River Resendiz; to her stepsisters, Jasmine Jones, Aliyah Jones, and Jada Jones; and to her other relatives and many friends; and, be it further RESOLVED, That an official copy of this Resolution be prepared for her family and that when the Texas Senate adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Navaha Resendiz.
