SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 423
In Memory
of
Jamie Rutherford Munal
WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas honors and
commemorates the life of Jamie Rutherford Munal, who died April
16, 2021, at the age of 67; and
WHEREAS, Jamie Munal was a beloved husband and father who
was widely respected and admired in his community for his many
achievements; and
WHEREAS, A proud graduate of Southern Methodist
University, Mr. Munal enjoyed a rewarding professional career as
an insurance agent; he was the owner of his own agency, Munal
Insurance; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Munal was an avid fisherman and an
accomplished cook whose holiday dinners were renowned in his
family; he was also a skilled guitarist and a music writer, and he
recorded multiple albums of his own work; and
WHEREAS, He was a devoted husband and father, and he leaves
behind memories that will be treasured forever by his family and
many friends; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 87th
Legislature, hereby extend sincere condolences to the bereaved
family of Jamie Rutherford Munal: his wife, Trecia Munal; and
his children, Clayton Parrish Munal and Katherine Lee Munal; and,
be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
his family as an expression of deepest sympathy from the Texas
Senate and that when the Senate adjourns this day, it do so in
memory of Jamie Munal.
