SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 450
WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
recognize Juanita Ybarra in celebration of the grand occasion of
her 104th birthday; and
WHEREAS, A woman of great charm and grace, Juanita Ybarra
is well known for her kind and generous spirit, and she is a
treasured Texan and beloved resident of the Spanish Meadows
community; and
WHEREAS, Mrs. Ybarra was born on May 16, 1917, in Poteet,
Texas; she has lived through times and witnessed events that many
people can only read about in history books, and there is much to
be learned from the valuable wisdom she has gained through the
years; and
WHEREAS, Mrs. Ybarra has been blessed with a wonderful
family; she married Ignacio Ybarra, and they were blessed with
two sons, Elias Ybarra and Eliseo Ybarra; her eight grandchildren
and four great-grandchildren have been a source of much pride and
joy for her; and
WHEREAS, A devout Christian who practices her faith in her
daily life, Mrs. Ybarra is noted for her warmth, her wit, and her
wise counsel, and she inspires those around her with her enthusiasm
for living each day to the fullest; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 87th
Legislature, hereby pay tribute to Juanita Ybarra and extend
congratulations to her in honor of her 104th birthday; and, be
it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
her as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
