| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas honors and |
|---|
| 6 | 6 | | commemorates the life of Beatrice Cavazos, who died May 9, 2021, |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | at the age of 88; and |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | WHEREAS, Beatrice Cavazos was an exemplary citizen who was |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | treasured in her community for her ability to make those around |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | her feel loved and for her enthusiasm for living each day to the |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | fullest; and |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | WHEREAS, Beatrice was born on December 10, 1932; she and |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | her beloved husband, the late Ubaldo Cavazos Sr., were blessed |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | with five children, Danny Cavazos, Linda Cavazos Lopez, Joe |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | Cavazos, Sandra Cavazos Lopez, and the late Ubaldo Cavazos Jr.; |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | their 12 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren were a source |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | of much pride and joy for her; and |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | WHEREAS, A woman of courage, wisdom, and warmth, she gave |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | unselfishly to others, and her generous spirit was a source of |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | strength and an inspiration to all who were privileged to share |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | in her life; and |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | WHEREAS, She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | and she leaves behind memories that will be cherished forever by |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | her family and many friends; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 87th |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | Legislature, hereby extend sincere condolences to the bereaved |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | family of Beatrice Cavazos; and, be it further |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for |
|---|
| 29 | 29 | | her family as an expression of deepest sympathy from the Texas |
|---|
| 30 | 30 | | Senate and that when the Senate adjourns this day, it do so in |

| 31 | 31 | | memory of Beatrice Cavazos. |
