SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 453
In Memory
of
Beatrice Cavazos
WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas honors and
commemorates the life of Beatrice Cavazos, who died May 9, 2021,
at the age of 88; and
WHEREAS, Beatrice Cavazos was an exemplary citizen who was
treasured in her community for her ability to make those around
her feel loved and for her enthusiasm for living each day to the
fullest; and
WHEREAS, Beatrice was born on December 10, 1932; she and
her beloved husband, the late Ubaldo Cavazos Sr., were blessed
with five children, Danny Cavazos, Linda Cavazos Lopez, Joe
Cavazos, Sandra Cavazos Lopez, and the late Ubaldo Cavazos Jr.;
their 12 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren were a source
of much pride and joy for her; and
WHEREAS, A woman of courage, wisdom, and warmth, she gave
unselfishly to others, and her generous spirit was a source of
strength and an inspiration to all who were privileged to share
in her life; and
WHEREAS, She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother,
and she leaves behind memories that will be cherished forever by
her family and many friends; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 87th
Legislature, hereby extend sincere condolences to the bereaved
family of Beatrice Cavazos; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
her family as an expression of deepest sympathy from the Texas
Senate and that when the Senate adjourns this day, it do so in
memory of Beatrice Cavazos.
