44 SENATE RESOLUTION
55 BE IT RESOLVED by the Senate of the State of Texas, 87th
66 Legislature, Regular Session 2021, That Senate Rule 12.03 be
77 suspended in part as provided by Senate Rule 12.08 to enable the
88 conference committee appointed to resolve the differences on
99 Senate Bill 1281 (a reliability assessment of the ERCOT power
1010 grid and certificates of public convenience and necessity for
1111 certain transmission projects) to consider and take action on the
1212 following matter:
1313 Senate Rules 12.03(1) and (3) are suspended to permit the
1414 committee to change, alter, or amend text which is not in
1515 disagreement and add text on a matter which is not in
1616 disagreement in proposed SECTION 1 of the bill by adding Sections
1717 37.052(c)(1)(A) and (B), Utilities Code, to read as follows:
1818 (1) the transmission line does not exceed:
1919 (A) three miles in length, if the line
2020 connects to a load-serving substation or metering point; or
2121 (B) two miles in length, if the line connects
2222 to a generation substation or metering point;
2323 Explanation: The change is necessary to distinguish that
2424 an electric transmission line to which Subsection 37.056(c),
2525 Utilities Code, as added by this bill, applies must measure three
2626 miles or less for a load-serving electric transmission line and
2727 two miles or less for an electric transmission line that connects
2828 to power generation.
