| 8 | 8 | | conference committee appointed to resolve the differences on |

| 9 | 9 | | Senate Bill 1281 (a reliability assessment of the ERCOT power |

| 10 | 10 | | grid and certificates of public convenience and necessity for |

| 11 | 11 | | certain transmission projects) to consider and take action on the |

| 13 | 13 | | Senate Rules 12.03(1) and (3) are suspended to permit the |

| 16 | 16 | | disagreement in proposed SECTION 1 of the bill by adding Sections |

| 17 | 17 | | 37.052(c)(1)(A) and (B), Utilities Code, to read as follows: |

| 19 | 19 | | (A) three miles in length, if the line |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | connects to a load-serving substation or metering point; or |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | (B) two miles in length, if the line connects |

| 22 | 22 | | to a generation substation or metering point; |

| 23 | 23 | | Explanation: The change is necessary to distinguish that |

| 24 | 24 | | an electric transmission line to which Subsection 37.056(c), |

| 25 | 25 | | Utilities Code, as added by this bill, applies must measure three |

| 26 | 26 | | miles or less for a load-serving electric transmission line and |
