                            SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 63
 In Memory
 of
 Winston Robinson
 WHEREAS, The family and friends of Winston Robinson of
 Marshall suffered an immeasurable loss with his death on October
 13, 2020, at the age of 68; and
 WHEREAS, Born on December 28, 1951, in Florida, Winston
 Robinson was the son of Johnnie and Mable Byrd Robinson and the
 oldest of their three children; he graduated from Northside High
 School before earning a bachelor's degree in chemistry from
 Ramapo College of New Jersey in 1982; and
 WHEREAS, Mr. Robinson started his career at Warner-Lambert
 Pharmaceuticals, followed by leadership roles at Apollo
 Technologies, NATEC, and ACF Industries; he served as the
 director of planning and community development for the City of
 Marshall from 2001 to 2010, and in 2011, he began working at Wiley
 College, where he was director of auxiliary services until 2018,
 when he was appointed as the director of athletics; and
 WHEREAS, A man of deep faith, Mr. Robinson was a member of
 Bethesda Missionary Baptist Church for over three decades; he
 held several leadership positions with the church, including
 deacon, secretary of the board of deacons, trustee, and budget
 manager, and he also sang in the male chorus; in addition, he was
 a member of Omega Psi Phi, and he generously supported United Way
 and the Boys and Girls Clubs; and
 WHEREAS, In 2002, Mr. Robinson married the love of his
 life, Cozzetta, and he took great pride in their blended family,
 which grew to include their three children, Leslie, Jewana, and
 Jason, and three grandchildren, Louis, Montana, and Aidyn; and
 WHEREAS, Although Winston Robinson is deeply missed, his
 loved ones may find comfort in remembering the humility,
 kindness, and selflessness with which he lived his life; now,
 therefore, be it
 RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 87th
 Legislature, hereby pay tribute to the life of Winston Robinson
 and extend sincere sympathy to the members of his family: to his
 wife, Cozzetta; to his children, Leslie Robinson Frye, Jewana
 Warren, and Jason Warren; to his brothers, Kenneth Robinson and
 Alan Robinson and his wife, Sharon; to his grandchildren, Louis
 Cannon Frye, Montana Warren, and Aidyn Page Warren; and to his
 other relatives and friends; and, be it further
 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this Resolution be
 prepared for his family and that when the Texas Senate adjourns
 this day, it do so in memory of Winston Robinson.
