| 2 | 2 | | WHEREAS, Detective Reggie Conley retired from the Tyler |

| 3 | 3 | | Police Department on December 31, 2020, drawing to a close 36 |

| 4 | 4 | | years of outstanding service to the Tyler community; and |
|---|
| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, Reggie Conley first joined Tyler PD in October |
|---|
| 6 | 6 | | 1984, and for the last two decades, he oversaw recruiting and |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | hiring procedures with the career development unit; more than |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | three-quarters of the department's current employees were hired |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | during his tenure; and |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | WHEREAS, Detective Conley holds advanced and master |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | officer certifications and is designated as a department |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | sharpshooter; he has been recognized with a Certificate of Merit, |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | a Lifesaving Award, and a Police Commendation; and |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | WHEREAS, Reggie Conley's dedication, professionalism, and |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | commitment to protecting the public have greatly benefited the |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | residents of Tyler, and he may indeed reflect with pride on a |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | career well spent; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 87th |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | Legislature, hereby congratulate Detective Reggie Conley on his |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | retirement from the Tyler Police Department and extend to him |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | RESOLVED, That an official copy of this Resolution be |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | prepared for Detective Conley as an expression of high regard |
|---|
