                            SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 76
 WHEREAS, Detective Reggie Conley retired from the Tyler
 Police Department on December 31, 2020, drawing to a close 36
 years of outstanding service to the Tyler community; and
 WHEREAS, Reggie Conley first joined Tyler PD in October
 1984, and for the last two decades, he oversaw recruiting and
 hiring procedures with the career development unit; more than
 three-quarters of the department's current employees were hired
 during his tenure; and
 WHEREAS, Detective Conley holds advanced and master
 officer certifications and is designated as a department
 sharpshooter; he has been recognized with a Certificate of Merit,
 a Lifesaving Award, and a Police Commendation; and
 WHEREAS, Reggie Conley's dedication, professionalism, and
 commitment to protecting the public have greatly benefited the
 residents of Tyler, and he may indeed reflect with pride on a
 career well spent; now, therefore, be it
 RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 87th
 Legislature, hereby congratulate Detective Reggie Conley on his
 retirement from the Tyler Police Department and extend to him
 sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further
 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this Resolution be
 prepared for Detective Conley as an expression of high regard
 from the Texas Senate.
