45 R E S O L U T I O N
56 WHEREAS, James Lovett of Bay City, a retired game warden,
67 passed away on June 10, 2021, at the age of 65, leaving his loved
78 ones with a wealth of memories to cherish; and
89 WHEREAS, Born on October 22, 1955, Jim Lovett was the son of
910 William and Dorothy Lovett and the brother of seven siblings, Joe,
1011 Anne, Kathleen, Mary, Laura, Amy, and Teresa; after graduating from
1112 Jasper High School in 1973, he enrolled at Stephen F. Austin State
1213 University and earned his bachelor's degree in 1979; and
1314 WHEREAS, Mr. Lovett was a longtime resident of Bay City,
1415 where he served his fellow citizens for over two decades as a Texas
1516 game warden; during his leisure hours, he took pleasure in hunting,
1617 fishing, and playing golf, and he also loved race cars; and
1718 WHEREAS, Jim Lovett lived an honorable life of service to his
1819 fellow Texans, and he will always be remembered with admiration and
1920 affection by those who held him dear; now, therefore, be it
2021 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 87th Texas
2122 Legislature, 2nd Called Session, hereby pay tribute to the memory
2223 of James Lovett and extend sincere sympathy to the members of his
2324 family: to his mother, Dorothy Lovett; to his brother, Joe Lovett;
2425 to his sisters, Anne Williams and her husband, Gary, Kathleen
2526 Hughes and her husband, David, Mary Mitchell and her husband, Mike,
2627 Laura Burnett and her husband, Phil, Amy Racke and her husband,
2728 Mike, and Teresa McElroy; and to his other relatives and friends;
2829 and, be it further
2930 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
3031 prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of
3132 Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of James
3233 Lovett.
