| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Dr. Felix F. Regueira is retiring from Victoria |

| 6 | 7 | | Pediatrics & Adolescent Associates on August 31, 2021, drawing to a |

| 7 | 8 | | close a notable tenure that has spanned more than four decades; and |

| 8 | 9 | | WHEREAS, A native of Cuba, Felix Regueira had an early |
|---|
| 9 | 10 | | interest in becoming a doctor; he attended the Facultad de Medicina |

| 10 | 11 | | de Santiago de Compostela in Spain, and completed his residency |
|---|
| 11 | 12 | | training in pediatrics and adolescent medicine in El Paso and |
|---|
| 12 | 13 | | Richmond, Virginia; and |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | WHEREAS, In 1978, Dr. Regueira opened his first practice in |

| 14 | 15 | | Wharton, and the following year, he established Victoria Pediatrics & |
|---|
| 15 | 16 | | Adolescent Associates; over the course of his career, his |
|---|
| 16 | 17 | | attentive care and ability to serve the Spanish-speaking community |

| 17 | 18 | | have earned him the loyalty and gratitude of his patients, many of |

| 18 | 19 | | whom have returned to him with their own children; and |
|---|
| 19 | 20 | | WHEREAS, A devoted family man, Dr. Regueira is the proud |

| 20 | 21 | | father of three children, and he delights in time spent with his |
|---|
| 21 | 22 | | seven grandchildren and two step-grandchildren; retirement will |
|---|
| 22 | 23 | | allow him to care for his elderly father, whom he credits for |
|---|
| 23 | 24 | | supporting him and his brother as they attended medical school; and |
|---|
| 24 | 25 | | WHEREAS, Felix Regueira's dedication, professionalism, and |

| 25 | 26 | | expertise have greatly benefited his patients and the community of |
|---|
| 26 | 27 | | Victoria, and he may indeed reflect with pride on a career well |

| 27 | 28 | | spent as he begins the next exciting chapter of his life; now, |
