H.R. No. 145
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Dr. Felix F. Regueira is retiring from Victoria
Pediatrics & Adolescent Associates on August 31, 2021, drawing to a
close a notable tenure that has spanned more than four decades; and
WHEREAS, A native of Cuba, Felix Regueira had an early
interest in becoming a doctor; he attended the Facultad de Medicina
de Santiago de Compostela in Spain, and completed his residency
training in pediatrics and adolescent medicine in El Paso and
Richmond, Virginia; and
WHEREAS, In 1978, Dr. Regueira opened his first practice in
Wharton, and the following year, he established Victoria Pediatrics &
Adolescent Associates; over the course of his career, his
attentive care and ability to serve the Spanish-speaking community
have earned him the loyalty and gratitude of his patients, many of
whom have returned to him with their own children; and
WHEREAS, A devoted family man, Dr. Regueira is the proud
father of three children, and he delights in time spent with his
seven grandchildren and two step-grandchildren; retirement will
allow him to care for his elderly father, whom he credits for
supporting him and his brother as they attended medical school; and
WHEREAS, Felix Regueira's dedication, professionalism, and
expertise have greatly benefited his patients and the community of
Victoria, and he may indeed reflect with pride on a career well
spent as he begins the next exciting chapter of his life; now,
therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 87th Texas
Legislature, 2nd Called Session, hereby congratulate Dr. Felix F.
Regueira on his retirement from Victoria Pediatrics & Adolescent
Associates and extend to him sincere best wishes for the future;
and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Dr. Regueira as an expression of high regard by the
Texas House of Representatives.
