5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Jose A. Orobio of Fort Worth is retiring from the |

6 | 7 | | Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts on August 31, 2021, drawing to |

7 | 8 | | a close more than two and a half decades of outstanding public |

8 | 9 | | service; and |

9 | 10 | | WHEREAS, Joe Orobio joined the Texas Comptroller of Public |

10 | 11 | | Accounts on September 1, 1994; over the course of his 27-year |

11 | 12 | | tenure, he has served as a tax auditor and as a staff member in the |
---|
12 | 13 | | regional processing center, and he has been active with the State |
---|
13 | 14 | | Employee Charitable Campaign team as well as with a number of other |
---|
14 | 15 | | committees; he is retiring from his position as a tax auditor V in |
---|
15 | 16 | | the audit division; and |
---|
16 | 17 | | WHEREAS, Prior to his career with the comptroller's office, |
---|
17 | 18 | | Mr. Orobio worked in the restaurant industry; he holds an associate |
---|
18 | 19 | | degree in restaurant management from Del Mar College and a |
---|
19 | 20 | | bachelor's degree in business administration from Texas A&M |
---|
20 | 21 | | University-Commerce; and |
---|
21 | 22 | | WHEREAS, Joe Orobio's skill, dedication, and commitment to |
---|
22 | 23 | | excellence have greatly benefited his fellow citizens, and he may |
---|
23 | 24 | | indeed reflect with pride on a career well spent as he embarks on |

24 | 25 | | the next exciting chapter of his life; now, therefore, be it |

25 | 26 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 87th Texas |

26 | 27 | | Legislature, 2nd Called Session, hereby congratulate Jose A. Orobio |

27 | 28 | | on his retirement from the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts and |

28 | 29 | | extend to him sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further |
