H.R. No. 170
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Jose A. Orobio of Fort Worth is retiring from the
Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts on August 31, 2021, drawing to
a close more than two and a half decades of outstanding public
service; and
WHEREAS, Joe Orobio joined the Texas Comptroller of Public
Accounts on September 1, 1994; over the course of his 27-year
tenure, he has served as a tax auditor and as a staff member in the
regional processing center, and he has been active with the State
Employee Charitable Campaign team as well as with a number of other
committees; he is retiring from his position as a tax auditor V in
the audit division; and
WHEREAS, Prior to his career with the comptroller's office,
Mr. Orobio worked in the restaurant industry; he holds an associate
degree in restaurant management from Del Mar College and a
bachelor's degree in business administration from Texas A&M
University-Commerce; and
WHEREAS, Joe Orobio's skill, dedication, and commitment to
excellence have greatly benefited his fellow citizens, and he may
indeed reflect with pride on a career well spent as he embarks on
the next exciting chapter of his life; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 87th Texas
Legislature, 2nd Called Session, hereby congratulate Jose A. Orobio
on his retirement from the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts and
extend to him sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Mr. Orobio as an expression of high regard by the Texas
House of Representatives.
