| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Loukya Kotla has ably served her fellow Texans as an |

| 8 | 9 | | WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, Ms. Kotla has provided |

| 9 | 10 | | vital assistance in handling a wide variety of challenging tasks; |

| 10 | 11 | | in addition to gaining valuable experience in the field of public |
|---|
| 11 | 12 | | service, she has learned more about the legislative process and the |
|---|
| 12 | 13 | | issues facing citizens of the Lone Star State; and |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | WHEREAS, Ms. Kotla currently attends Obra D. Tompkins High |

| 14 | 15 | | School, where she has distinguished herself through her involvement |
|---|
| 15 | 16 | | in numerous extracurricular activities, including the Future |
|---|
| 16 | 17 | | Business Leaders of America, UNICEF, BETA, and Model United Nations |

| 17 | 18 | | clubs; an accomplished public speaker, she has given a TED-Ed |

| 18 | 19 | | student talk and participated in debate competitions at the state |
|---|
| 19 | 20 | | and national levels, and she is the founder of the Vayana Speech and |

| 20 | 21 | | Debate Institute; moreover, she has served as a congressional |

| 21 | 22 | | campaign intern; and |

| 22 | 23 | | WHEREAS, Loukya Kotla has performed her duties as an intern |

| 23 | 24 | | with skill and dedication, and she is indeed deserving of special |

| 24 | 25 | | recognition for her fine work; now, therefore, be it |

| 25 | 26 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 87th Texas |
