H.R. No. 78 R E S O L U T I O N WHEREAS, Loukya Kotla has ably served her fellow Texans as an intern in the office of State Representative Jacey Jetton during the summer of 2021; and WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, Ms. Kotla has provided vital assistance in handling a wide variety of challenging tasks; in addition to gaining valuable experience in the field of public service, she has learned more about the legislative process and the issues facing citizens of the Lone Star State; and WHEREAS, Ms. Kotla currently attends Obra D. Tompkins High School, where she has distinguished herself through her involvement in numerous extracurricular activities, including the Future Business Leaders of America, UNICEF, BETA, and Model United Nations clubs; an accomplished public speaker, she has given a TED-Ed student talk and participated in debate competitions at the state and national levels, and she is the founder of the Vayana Speech and Debate Institute; moreover, she has served as a congressional campaign intern; and WHEREAS, Loukya Kotla has performed her duties as an intern with skill and dedication, and she is indeed deserving of special recognition for her fine work; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 87th Texas Legislature, 2nd Called Session, hereby commend Loukya Kotla for her service as an intern in the office of State Representative Jacey Jetton and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued success in all her endeavors; and, be it further RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be prepared for Ms. Kotla as an expression of high regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
