R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Eduardo Zuniga Jr. is retiring from the U.S. Navy as
a senior chief hull maintenance technician (surface warfare) on
November 1, 2021; and
WHEREAS, Eddie Zuniga answered his nation's call to duty by
joining the U.S. Navy in April 2000, and over the course of his
exemplary 21-year career, he has been assigned to Ellington Field
Joint Reserve Base in Houston; moreover, he has been a member of the
U.S. Navy Reserve for more than two decades and currently serves as
senior enlisted advisor and executive officer; and
WHEREAS, In civilian life, Mr. Zuniga works as a financial
advisor with Edward Jones; he is an alumnus of the University of
Houston, where he studied finance, and he is certified as an
accredited asset management specialist; in all his endeavors, he
enjoys the love and support of his wife, Thu Nguyen; and
WHEREAS, Eddie Zuniga's expertise, professionalism, and
devotion to duty have greatly benefited his fellow Americans, and
he may indeed reflect with pride on his outstanding record of
military service as he embarks on the next exciting chapter of his
life; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 87th Texas
Legislature, 3rd Called Session, hereby congratulate Eduardo
Zuniga Jr. on his retirement from the U.S. Navy as a senior chief
hull maintenance technician and extend to him sincere best wishes
for continued success in all his endeavors; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Mr. Zuniga as an expression of high regard by the Texas
House of Representatives.
