| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Myong Chong of Fort Worth was named as the 18th |

| 7 | 8 | | organization that serves Korean Americans throughout a five-state |

| 8 | 9 | | region, in 2021; and |
|---|
| 9 | 10 | | WHEREAS, The Federation of Mid-South Korean Associations, or |

| 10 | 11 | | FEMSKA, is dedicated to promoting the activities of Korean American |

| 11 | 12 | | associations in the states of Texas, Oklahoma, Mississippi, |
|---|
| 12 | 13 | | Arkansas, and Louisiana; through its support, FEMSKA is making a |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | positive impact in the lives of the Korean Americans who are served |

| 14 | 15 | | by these organizations; and |

| 15 | 16 | | WHEREAS, Our state benefits immensely from the professional |

| 16 | 17 | | achievements of Americans of Korean descent who are working to |

| 17 | 18 | | build a brighter future for their families and communities, and the |

| 18 | 19 | | leadership of President Chong will greatly help the Federation of |

| 19 | 20 | | Mid-South Korean Associations to advance its important mission; |

| 21 | 22 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 87th Texas |
