H.R. No. 278
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, David Collier achieved great distinction by making a
hole-in-one at the Sulphur Springs Country Club golf course on
October 14, 2021; and
WHEREAS, Teeing off on the par-3 No. 17 hole, Mr. Collier
nailed a 121-yard shot to sink his ace; and
WHEREAS, This notable Texan retired to Sulphur Springs in
2016, following a career with Oncor that spanned four and a half
decades; and
WHEREAS, David Collier has demonstrated tremendous skill on
the golf course, and he may indeed take pride in this remarkable
feat; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 87th Texas
Legislature, 3rd Called Session, hereby congratulate David Collier
on making a hole-in-one at the Sulphur Springs Country Club golf
course and extend to him sincere best wishes for continued success
on the links; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Mr. Collier as an expression of high regard by the
Texas House of Representatives.
