| 8 | 9 | | WHEREAS, Born in Conroe on September 19, 2003, Cole |

| 9 | 10 | | Overstreet was the cherished son of Tad and April Overstreet; he |

| 10 | 11 | | grew up in The Woodlands and Conroe area with the companionship of |

| 11 | 12 | | his sister, Anna, and brother, Benjamin, and he moved with his |

| 12 | 13 | | family to the Lakeside Village neighborhood in Livingston in 2016; |

| 14 | 15 | | WHEREAS, Mr. Overstreet embraced his new home in Livingston, |

| 15 | 16 | | enrolling in Livingston ISD and joining the First Baptist Church of |

| 16 | 17 | | Livingston; he was a member of the First Student Ministries youth |

| 17 | 18 | | group at his church, and he played the bass drum in the marching |

| 18 | 19 | | band at Livingston High School; he was known as a leader and a role |

| 19 | 20 | | model to his peers, and he strove to live according to one of his |
|---|
| 20 | 21 | | favorite quotes from former president Ronald Reagan, "There is no |

| 21 | 22 | | limit to the amount of good you can do if you don't care who gets the |

| 23 | 24 | | WHEREAS, Although his journey on this earth ended far too |

| 24 | 25 | | soon, Cole Overstreet was a source of joy and inspiration to all who |

| 25 | 26 | | were blessed to know him, and they will forever carry his memory |

| 26 | 27 | | close in their hearts; now, therefore, be it |

| 27 | 28 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 87th Texas |
