5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Satish Seth enjoyed a highly successful and |

8 | 9 | | benefit his fellow citizens in Houston and beyond; and |

9 | 10 | | WHEREAS, An alumnus of Bhopal University in India, Satish |

10 | 11 | | Seth has been hired to oversee civil engineering efforts for both |

11 | 12 | | private businesses and government agencies; his employers have |
---|
12 | 13 | | included Brown and Root, where he worked for over 25 years, and CE |
---|
13 | 14 | | Webber, where he worked for a decade; in addition, he was affiliated |
---|
14 | 15 | | with the City of Houston for five years, and he was notably involved |
---|
15 | 16 | | in the construction of a number of roadways around Houston, |
---|
16 | 17 | | including large parts of Interstates 10 and 45, as well as roads at |
---|
17 | 18 | | George Bush Intercontinental Airport; and |
---|
18 | 19 | | WHEREAS, Mr. Seth also assisted in building Hindu community |
---|
19 | 20 | | temples, and since his retirement, he has remained active with |
---|
20 | 21 | | Hindu and Sikh worship societies and other religious groups; he has |
---|
21 | 22 | | long been a role model for his community, and he has supported |
---|
22 | 23 | | up-and-coming engineers by helping them to secure well-paying job |

23 | 24 | | opportunities; and |

24 | 25 | | WHEREAS, Satish Seth has consistently upheld the highest |

25 | 26 | | standards of his profession, and his contributions to his state and |

26 | 27 | | community will be appreciated for years to come; now, therefore, be |

28 | 29 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 87th Texas |

29 | 30 | | Legislature, 3rd Called Session, hereby honor Satish Seth for his |
