                            H.R. No. 72


 R E S O L U T I O N
 WHEREAS, Satish Seth enjoyed a highly successful and
 productive engineering career that spanned several decades, during
 which time he worked on an array of projects that continue to
 benefit his fellow citizens in Houston and beyond; and
 WHEREAS, An alumnus of Bhopal University in India, Satish
 Seth has been hired to oversee civil engineering efforts for both
 private businesses and government agencies; his employers have
 included Brown and Root, where he worked for over 25 years, and CE
 Webber, where he worked for a decade; in addition, he was affiliated
 with the City of Houston for five years, and he was notably involved
 in the construction of a number of roadways around Houston,
 including large parts of Interstates 10 and 45, as well as roads at
 George Bush Intercontinental Airport; and
 WHEREAS, Mr. Seth also assisted in building Hindu community
 temples, and since his retirement, he has remained active with
 Hindu and Sikh worship societies and other religious groups; he has
 long been a role model for his community, and he has supported
 up-and-coming engineers by helping them to secure well-paying job
 opportunities; and
 WHEREAS, Satish Seth has consistently upheld the highest
 standards of his profession, and his contributions to his state and
 community will be appreciated for years to come; now, therefore, be
 it
 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 87th Texas
 Legislature, 3rd Called Session, hereby honor Satish Seth for his
 achievements as a professional engineer and extend to him sincere
 best wishes for the future; and, be it further
 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 prepared for Mr. Seth as an expression of high regard by the Texas
 House of Representatives.
