| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, A rich and purposeful life drew to a close with the |

| 6 | 6 | | passing of Marice Densal Wilson of Hawkins on September 8, 2021, at |

| 7 | 7 | | the age of 84; and |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | WHEREAS, The son of Reba Forrister and Curtis Wilson, Densal |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | Wilson was born in Mineola on November 25, 1936, and he grew up with |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | the companionship of six siblings, Darlene, George, Robert, |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | Kimball, Jerry, and Marion; in 1955, he graduated from Hawkins High |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | School, where he played football and baseball and was honored as |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | Best All Around; he went on to become a welder and often used his |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | skills to build flagpoles for his friends and neighbors; and |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | WHEREAS, In all his endeavors, Mr. Wilson benefited from the |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | love and support of his wife, Virginia, with whom he shared a |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | fulfilling union that spanned six and a half decades; he took great |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | pride in his three children, Ray, Ronny, and Robin, and with the |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | passing years, he had the pleasure of seeing his family grow to |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | include eight grandchildren, Timothy, Benjamin, Aaron, Sean, |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | Jacquelyn, Claire, Abigail, and Peyton, and 11 |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | great-grandchildren; this beloved man enjoyed playing Santa Claus |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | at Christmastime, and he was active in the Wood County Riding Club; |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | sustained by a strong and abiding faith, he was a valued congregant |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | of Holly Brook Baptist Church; and |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | WHEREAS, Densal Wilson possessed a generosity of spirit that |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | expressed itself in myriad ways, and he enriched the lives of all |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | who knew him with his warmth and kindness; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 29 | 29 | | RESOLVED, That the 87th Legislature of the State of Texas, |
|---|
| 30 | 30 | | 3rd Called Session, hereby pay tribute to the life of Marice Densal |
|---|
| 31 | 31 | | Wilson and extend sincere condolences to all who mourn his passing; |
|---|
| 32 | 32 | | and, be it further |

| 33 | 33 | | RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
