A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT
relating to the Texas Lottery Commission establishing at least one
weekly lottery game with a drawing held on Sundays.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
SECTION 1. Section 466.015, Government Code, is amended by
adding Subsection (d) to read as follows:
(d) The rules the commission adopts under this section must
establish at least one weekly lottery game with a drawing for the
winning ticket held on Sundays.
SECTION 2. Not later than January 1, 2024, the Texas Lottery
Commission shall adopt or amend rules as necessary to implement
Section 466.015(d), Government Code, as added by this Act.
SECTION 3. This Act takes effect September 1, 2023.
