11 | 11 | | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |

12 | 12 | | SECTION 1. Section 623.219(a), Transportation Code, is |
---|
13 | 13 | | amended to read as follows: |
---|
14 | 14 | | (a) For a permit issued by a port authority located in a |
---|
15 | 15 | | county that borders the United Mexican States, the commission |
---|
16 | 16 | | [shall], with the consent of the port authority: |
---|
17 | 17 | | (1) shall[,] designate the most direct route from: |

18 | 18 | | (A) [(1)] the Gateway International Bridge or |
