A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT
relating to the authority of the Nixon Hospital District of
Gonzales and Wilson Counties, Texas, to borrow money.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
SECTION 1. Subchapter C, Chapter 1080, Special District
Local Laws Code, is amended by adding Section 1080.112 to read as
follows:
Sec. 1080.112. AUTHORITY TO BORROW MONEY. The board may
contract indebtedness or borrow money for district purposes on the
credit of the district or secured by revenues of district hospitals
and the hospital system.
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives
a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as
provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this
Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this
Act takes effect September 1, 2023.
