| 11 | 11 | amended by adding Section 43.008 to read as follows: | |
| 12 | 12 | Sec. 43.008. CAMPUS POLLING PLACE PROHIBITED. (a) In this | |
| 13 | 13 | section, "institution of higher education" has the meaning assigned | |
| 14 | 14 | by Section 61.003, Education Code. | |
| 15 | 15 | (b) The commissioners court of a county may not designate as | |
| 16 | 16 | a polling place a location on the campus of an institution of higher | |
| 17 | 17 | education located within the county. | |
| 18 | 18 | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2023. |
