| 10 | 10 | | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |

| 11 | 11 | | SECTION 1. Subchapter E, Chapter 13, Water Code, is amended |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | by adding Section 13.1361 to read as follows: |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | Sec. 13.1361. WATER SUPPLY OR SEWER SERVICE CORPORATION |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | REPORT OF DIRECTORS. (a) The utility commission by rule shall |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | require each water supply or sewer service corporation to: |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | (1) file with the utility commission a report naming |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | the directors of the corporation; and |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | (2) in a timely manner, update the report when a new |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | director is appointed or elected. |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | (b) The utility commission may impose a penalty under |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | Section 13.4151 for a failure to file a report required under this |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | section in an amount of not more than $5,000 for each report that is |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | not timely filed. |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2023. |
