The bill would amend Transportation Code, Section 503.063, to authorize a vehicle to be issued and displayed a buyer's temporary tag without satisfying the inspection requirement of Transportation Code, Chapter 548, if the vehicle is purchased at a public auction and the seller of the vehicle is a non-profit organization. Based on the analysis provided by the Texas Department of Motor Vehicles, it is assumed any costs associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be absorbed within the department's existing resources.
