| 6 | 6 | | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |

| 7 | 7 | | SECTION 1. Section 502.001(6), Transportation Code, is |

| 8 | 8 | | amended to read as follows: |

| 9 | 9 | | (6) "Commercial fleet" means a group of at least 12 |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | [25] nonapportioned motor vehicles, semitrailers, or trailers |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | owned, operated, or leased by a corporation, limited or general |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | partnership, limited liability company, or other business entity |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | and used for the business purposes of that entity. |

| 14 | 14 | | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2023. |
