| 11 | 11 | (3) adopt a policy comprehensively outlining the | |
| 12 | 12 | department's strategy for the implementation of a statewide | |
| 13 | 13 | broadband infrastructure able to support new transportation | |
| 14 | 14 | technology broadband and to enhance accessibility throughout the | |
| 15 | 15 | state. | |
| 16 | 16 | SECTION 2. Section 201.9932, Transportation Code, is | |
| 17 | 17 | amended by adding Subsection (7) to read as follows: | |
| 18 | 18 | (7) effects on broadband accessibility for residents | |
| 19 | 19 | of the region. | |
| 20 | 20 | SECTION 3. This Act takes effect September 1, 2023. |
