10 | 10 | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | |
11 | 11 | SECTION 1. Section 619.004, Government Code, is amended to | |
12 | 12 | read as follows: | |
13 | 13 | Sec. 619.004. PUBLIC EMPLOYER RESPONSIBILITIES. A public | |
14 | 14 | employer shall: | |
15 | 15 | (1) provide a reasonable amount of break time for an | |
16 | 16 | employee to express breast milk each time the employee has need to | |
17 | 17 | express the milk; and | |
18 | 18 | (2) provide a place, other than a [multiple user] | |
19 | 19 | bathroom, that is shielded from view and free from intrusion from | |
20 | 20 | other employees and the public where the employee can express | |
21 | 21 | breast milk. | |
22 | 22 | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2023. |
