| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, On Memorial Day each May, citizens across our state |

| 6 | 6 | | and nation come together for a day of solemn remembrance of those |

| 7 | 7 | | servicemen and servicewomen who gave their lives in the line of |

| 8 | 8 | | duty; and |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | WHEREAS, On May 27, 2023, the Fallen Heroes Memorial Service |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | will take place in the House chamber for the purpose of honoring all |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | members of the U.S. military killed in action and paying special |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | tribute to those from Texas who made the ultimate sacrifice for our |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | country; and |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | WHEREAS, This roll of honor includes U.S. Army Airborne |

| 15 | 15 | | Sergeant Major James G. Sartor of Teague, U.S. Army Chief Warrant |

| 16 | 16 | | Officer 2 David C. Knadle of Tarrant, U.S. Army Specialist Vincent |

| 17 | 17 | | Sebastian Ibarria of San Antonio, Texas National Guard Sergeant |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | Bishop E. Evans of Arlington, U.S. Marine Corps Lance Corporal |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | David L. Espinoza of Laredo, and U.S. Army Airborne Sergeant First |

| 20 | 20 | | Class Javier Jaguar Gutierrez of San Antonio; and |

| 21 | 21 | | WHEREAS, These brave men exemplified the highest ideals of |

| 22 | 22 | | the United States armed forces, inspiring others with their |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | fortitude, tenacity, and courage, and they are indeed deserving of |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | the lasting gratitude of their fellow Texans; now, therefore, be it |

| 25 | 25 | | RESOLVED, That the 88th Legislature of the State of Texas |

| 26 | 26 | | hereby pay tribute to the lives of the Texas fallen heroes and |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | extend sincere sympathy to all those who mourn their passing; and, |

| 28 | 28 | | be it further |

| 29 | 29 | | RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
