| 10 | 11 | | WHEREAS, Kenneth Nolen graduated from Texas A&M University in |

| 11 | 12 | | 1957 with a degree in mechanical engineering; shortly thereafter, |

| 12 | 13 | | he joined Shell Oil Company as a production engineer, and he worked |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | there for more than a decade; in 1970, he partnered with Sam G. |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | Gibbs to form Nabla Corp., and he helped grow the business to design |
|---|
| 15 | 16 | | and diagnose hydraulic and submersible pump systems, as well as |
|---|
| 16 | 17 | | build digital dynamometers, pump-off controls, and fluid level |
|---|
| 17 | 18 | | instruments; Mr. Nolen again joined with Mr. Gibbs in 2014 to found |

| 18 | 19 | | GreenShot LLC, which specialized in automated well fluid level |
|---|
| 19 | 20 | | technology; in 2018, the company was sold to WellWorx Energy; and |
|---|
| 20 | 21 | | WHEREAS, An expert in his field, Mr. Nolen has eight patents, |

| 21 | 22 | | and he has written numerous textbooks and technical papers on |
|---|
| 22 | 23 | | artificial lift; and |
|---|
| 23 | 24 | | WHEREAS, Through his hard work and commitment to innovation, |
|---|
| 24 | 25 | | Kenneth Nolen has distinguished himself as a successful and |
|---|
| 25 | 26 | | influential figure in an industry that is such a vital part of the |

| 26 | 27 | | Texas economy, and he is truly deserving of this prestigious honor; |
