11 | 12 | | continuum; in Texas alone, hundreds of thousands of nurses work |

12 | 13 | | tirelessly to meet the evolving needs of a growing and diverse |

14 | 15 | | WHEREAS, Nursing balances compassion and respect for human |

15 | 16 | | dignity with skilled clinical practice and critical thinking; |

16 | 17 | | adhering to the highest professional standards, nurses bring an |

17 | 18 | | unwavering commitment to the well-being of their patients, |

18 | 19 | | especially the most vulnerable, and they serve as trusted advocates |

20 | 21 | | WHEREAS, The American Nurses Association gives voice to the |

28 | 29 | | WHEREAS, The ANA and its affiliate, the Texas Nurses |

29 | 30 | | Association, have designated the entire month of May as Nurses |

30 | 31 | | Month; the event's 2023 theme, "You Make a Difference," highlights |

31 | 32 | | both the great worth of nurses' customary contributions and the |

32 | 33 | | immense role they have played in saving lives and caring for their |

33 | 34 | | fellow Americans during the COVID-19 pandemic; and |

34 | 35 | | WHEREAS, Every day, the expertise, dedication, and hard work |

35 | 36 | | of nurses across the Lone Star State greatly benefit countless |

36 | 37 | | Texans, and Nurses Week provides a welcome occasion to honor these |
