The resolution would propose an amendment to Article III, Section 47, of the Texas Constitution, to permit the Legislature by general law to authorize and regulate the placing of wagers on sporting events.Adoption of the proposed constitutional amendment alone would have no fiscal impact on the state or units of local government.
